The Dermatology Nurse Practitioner will perform physical exams, record medical histories, and create patient care plans for residents in skilled nursing facilities. They are also responsible for ordering diagnostic tests, administering treatments, and communicating health issues to the physician on call.
Candidates must hold a valid CNP license and have experience in dermatology within a clinical or nursing home setting. A degree as a Nurse Practitioner, MD, or DO is required, along with BCLS/ACLS certification and a DEA license.
