Job Description

The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Department of Radiology invites applications for a full-time Emergency Radiologist to provide overnight imaging interpretation across our growing Gulf Coast multi-campus health system. This is an outstanding opportunity for a radiologist who values clinical excellence, schedule predictability, and the stability and academic richness of a distinguished academic medical center.

Essential Job Functions

Provide full-time, on-site overnight Emergency Radiology coverage across UTMB campuses on a 7-on/14-off schedule (10:00 p. m.–7:00 a. m.). Interpret high-acuity, high-volume emergency imaging, including radiography, CT, MRI, and ultrasound, for trauma, stroke, acute vascular, and complex multi-system cases across multiple subspecialties. Support timely and accurate diagnostic services within UTMB’s integrated academic radiology practice.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Radiology.
  • Fellowship training in cardiothoracic imaging
  • Certificate of Added Qualification in Cardiac CT.
  • Valid Texas Medical License, or ability to obtain prior to start.
  • Eligibility for appointment to the UTMB medical staff.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
