Job Description

Job Summary: The Director of Physician Recruitment provides strategic leadership for the development and execution of physician recruitment and workforce strategies that support JPS Health Network’s mission to serve the community with excellence, compassion, and innovation.

This role is responsible for ensuring Acclaim attracts, recruits, and retains high-quality, mission-aligned physicians to meet the growing and evolving healthcare needs of Tarrant County.

The Director partners closely with executive leadership, clinical leaders, and service line teams to build a sustainable physician workforce that advances access, quality, and patient-centered care.

Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities

Develops and executes a network wide recruitment strategy aligned with clinical, operational, and financial goals.

Leads workforce planning in collaboration with service line leaders, finance, and medical staff services.

Ensures recruitment decisions align with CHNA findings, Stark Law, Anti Kickback Statute, and FMV/commercial reasonableness standards.

Provides executive level reporting on recruitment metrics, market trends, and pipeline performance.

Oversees full cycle recruitment for physicians and APPs, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, contracting, and onboarding.

Manages candidate experience from first contact through post hire follow up.

Maintains accurate documentation for regulatory audits and internal compliance reviews.

Ensures all recruitment activities support community need, operational need, or call coverage need documentation.

Serves as primary liaison to department chairs, practice managers, and hospital executives.

Builds strong relationships with residency and fellowship programs to support pipeline development.

Represents the organization at national conferences, job fairs, and professional events.

Leads and mentors a team of recruiters and coordinators.

Manages external search firm relationships and negotiate contracts.

Oversees recruitment budget, advertising spend, and vendor performance.

Maintains recruitment dashboards, time to fill metrics, and market intelligence.

Ensures all offers comply with Fair Market Value and Commercial Reasonableness standards.

Partners with legal, compliance, and finance to ensure all recruitment arrangements meet federal and state regulations

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or related field of study from an accredited college or university.

7 plus years of experience in physician recruitment, provider relations, or healthcare talent acquisition; to include extensive experience using applicant tracking systems and recruitment analytics.

3 plus years of progressive leadership with a demonstrated success leading high volume recruitment in a multi hospital system.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or related field of study from an accredited college or university.

Experience leading high volume recruitment in a multi hospital system.
