The physician will perform comprehensive medical examinations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for assigned patients, including prescribing medications and directing the care activities of support staff. Responsibilities also include admitting hospital patients, attending inpatient consults, ordering/interpreting tests, and communicating care plans with referring physicians.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent, along with completion of a residency program in internal medicine and a fellowship program in rheumatology. An active Iowa medical license and the ability to obtain staff privileges at Great River Medical Center are mandatory prerequisites.
