Key Responsibilities

The Medical Social Worker assists in the admission process by evaluating the client's psychosocial status and developing the interdisciplinary care plan related to social work. Responsibilities also include observing and reporting changes in social factors affecting the client's illness and participating in discharge planning and agency activities.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master's degree from an approved school of social work and be in the process of acquiring certification from the Academy of Certified Social Workers. A minimum of two years of experience is required, with at least one year in a healthcare setting, along with the ability to communicate effectively and perform necessary physical assessments.
