Job Description
Nurse Practitioner – Outpatient Wound Care
Rome, New York | Full-Time
Healogics is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join its hospital-based wound care clinic in Rome, New York. This outpatient role offers hands-on procedures, an established support team, and a predictable Monday–Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call coverage.
We're looking for an NP who enjoys a fast-paced clinical setting, has strong clinical judgment, and wants to build expertise in wound care. Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or another procedure-focused setting is valued. Wound care experience is preferred but not required; training is provided.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic wounds.
- Develop treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust care as needed.
- Perform procedures such as debridement, incision and drainage, and suturing as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the clinical team and educate patients on their care.

Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted NP license and current DEA license
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
