Key Responsibilities
The SLP conducts speech and language evaluations to diagnose and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders. They develop individualized treatment plans and provide therapeutic exercises while ensuring all clinical standards and regulatory requirements are met.
Requirements
Candidates must have the appropriate education for state licensure and be a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of practice. BLS certification is required, and ASHA certification or CFY status is preferred.
