Job Description
Adena Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Adena Fairfield Medical Oncology team in Lancaster, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for either a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or a Physician Assistant (PA) who wants to provide direct patient care and work within a well-established and highly experienced oncology team.
The APP will primarily work in the outpatient oncology clinic, providing care to ambulatory patients and may also see patients in the infusion suite on the first floor during active treatment as needed.
Responsibilities include managing and responding to messages within the electronic medical record (EMR), completing clinical documentation in a timely manner, placing appropriate orders, and ensuring accurate charge capture and billing for services rendered.
The APP will work independently while collaborating with two physicians, one physician assistant, nursing staff, including 3 oncology navigators, and other members of the multidisciplinary oncology team to provide high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical assessment skills, experience managing oncology patients, proficiency with electronic medical records, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary cancer care team. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and patient education skills, along with the ability to independently evaluate patients, manage treatment-related toxicities, complete clinical documentation, enter orders, and provide high-quality, compassionate care throughout the cancer treatment continuum.
Schedule & Practice Details
- Office Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
- Provider Hours: Monday–Friday, no weekends. 40 hours/week, scheduling flexibility

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior oncology or hematology experience as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, RN, and or navigator
- Experience in outpatient oncology clinic settings
- Familiarity with chemotherapy and infusion center workflows
- Advanced certification such as Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP®) or related oncology certification or willingness to obtain in the future.
This role is a full-time employed position within the multispecialty Adena Medical Group, offering a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits including.
