ORTHOPEDIC HAND SURGEON

Key Responsibilities

The orthopedic hand surgeon is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating musculoskeletal conditions of the hand, wrist, and forearm. They perform surgical procedures, provide pre- and post-operative care, and collaborate with therapists to optimize patient recovery.

Requirements

Candidates must have completed an accredited medical school, a 5-year orthopedic surgery residency, and a 1-year hand and upper extremity fellowship. A valid California medical license and board certification or eligibility in orthopedic surgery with a subspecialty in hand surgery are required.
