Key Responsibilities
The CRNA assesses patient needs and administers various types of anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, and diagnostic procedures. They also monitor patient reactions, manage airway and invasive monitoring, and educate student nurse anesthetists and other health professionals.
Requirements
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited CRNA program and hold current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Certification from the Mississippi Board of Nursing or another state is required at the time of hire.
