Key Responsibilities
The Specialty Pharmacist supports patient access to complex medication therapies by acting as an extension of ambulatory clinic teams, providing clinical consultation, education, and chronic disease state management for specialty patients. This role also involves general supervision of Specialty Pharmacy Care Coordinators and maintaining the operation and services of the specialty pharmacy clinic.
Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a Doctorate of Pharmacy is required, along with a Kentucky Board of Pharmacy license. Preferred qualifications include 1-3 years of related work experience or completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency program, along with experience in ambulatory clinical pharmacy practice and specialty disease states.
