Job Description

Caring Therapists of Broward, a group private practice in South Florida, is looking for a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our thriving group practice in Port Orange. We are a collaborative group of therapists that work well together in the office.

Requirements include being fully licensed in the State of Florida with Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP). Current DEA and CPR certification, have active professional liability/malpractice insurance, have an established physician/collaborator as required for their scope of practice, and willingness to be paneled with insurance companies.

This is commission (fee split compensation) full time employment and we pay out biweekly.

Caring Therapists provides a steady stream of referrals as well. The candidate must be independent, driven, collaborative, and enhance our fun, connected, and a positive-minded group of clinicians. Our office is well-respected in the community, and we are looking for therapists who are passionate about mental health. The candidate will be independent contractor status.

Requirements

  • Works with adults and children, ages 4-18
  • Willing to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Current State of Florida license as a PMHNP
  • Willing to work 15-30 hours per week
  • Minimum 1-year post-independent licensure is a plus
  • Paneled with insurance a plus
  • Prior private practice experience is a plus

Caring Therapists is the premier counseling center in Broward County, Palm Beach County, and throughout the state of Florida. We are a team of highly specialized therapists.

We are centrally located in Davie, Fort Lauderdale, Wellington, and throughout South Florida. We have a team of skilled professionals available days, evenings, and weekends.

Our team is friendly, helpful, and trustworthy. We specialize in anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, LGBTQIA issues, couples & marriage counseling, child & teen therapy, trauma, and psychological testing. We offer testing for ADHD, Autism, Gifted evaluations, forensic psychology, learning disabilities, psychoeducational evaluations, and substance abuse evaluations. We offer in-person and online counseling.

We are in-network with the following insurance panels: Aetna, Humana, Cigna, Optum, United, UMR, Beacon Health, EAP, Value Options, Avmed, Magellan, Tricare, Humana Military, Lyra, Modern Health, and Concordia.

Required education

  • Master's or Doctorate in Nursing
  • Required license or certification
  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification

Compensation is between $100-150 per hour based on fee-split commission model with the provider receiving a percentage of collected fees for services rendered and depend on service type, reimbursement rates and fees collected

  • Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients

Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling, evidenced-based treatment, and adjust treatment plans as necessary

  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress
  • Involve and advise family members when appropriate
  • Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary
  • Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality
  • Maintain proper licenses, certifications and follow professional guidelines, ethical standards
  • Contribute to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed
