Job Description

Role: OB/GYN Physician

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN Physician to join a premier, patient-centered community health system in Buffalo, NY. This position provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to a diverse patient population across outpatient clinical settings and affiliated regional hospital labor & delivery/surgical units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obstetric Care: Provide full-scope prenatal, high-risk pregnancy management, labor and delivery coverage, postpartum care, and emergency obstetric interventions.
  • Gynecological Care & Surgery: Perform routine gynecological exams, preventive screenings, diagnostic procedures, and minor/major gynecological surgeries (laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and open procedures).
  • Preventive & Reproductive Healthcare: Counsel patients on family planning, contraception, menopause management, reproductive health, and wellness education.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely alongside certified nurse-midwives, nurse practitioners, clinical staff, and behavioral health providers in an integrated outpatient healthcare model.
  • Quality & EMR Compliance: Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system; adhere strictly to ACOG guidelines, HIPAA, and safety standards.

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Successful completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Residency Program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or AOBOG
  • Active, unrestricted New York State Medical License
  • Active Federal DEA Registration and New York State Controlled Substance Registration
  • Active BLS / ACLS / NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certifications

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: MD or DO degree + OB/GYN Residency.
  • Licensure: Active New York State Medical License in good standing.
  • Experience: Open to both experienced OB/GYN Physicians and graduating residents with a strong passion for community health and diverse patient populations.
  • Attributes: Outstanding clinical judgment, empathetic patient communication, and a dedication to high-quality, accessible women's healthcare.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree, have completed an accredited OB/GYN residency, and possess an active New York State medical license. Board certification or eligibility by the ABOG or AOBOG is required, along with active BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
