Physician- MD/DO Direct Primary Care

Southern Oregon Wellness is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered MD or DO to join our growing direct primary care practice in Southern Oregon.

This is an opportunity for a physician who wants to step away from the traditional high-volume, insurance-driven model and return to the heart of primary care: time with patients, meaningful relationships, prevention, and personalized medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care for patients across the lifespan
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Provide preventive care, annual wellness visits, and health-risk assessments
• Develop individualized treatment and wellness plans
• Build long-term relationships with patients and families
• Provide patient education and lifestyle counseling
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
• Manage chronic disease using evidence-based approaches
• Coordinate specialty care when appropriate
• Participate in practice development and quality improvement
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide whole-person care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Ideal Candidate

We Are Looking for a Physician Who

• Holds an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Is board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or another appropriate primary care specialty
• Holds or is eligible for an Oregon medical license
• Has excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
• Values preventive medicine and patient education
• Enjoys developing long-term relationships with patients
• Is comfortable practicing with a high degree of professional autonomy
• Is interested in innovative approaches to primary care
• Brings compassion, curiosity, and a genuine desire to improve patients' health and quality of life
• Experienced physicians and physicians early in their careers are encouraged to apply.
