Behavioral Health Tech - Mountains Behavioral Health - Full Time 72 Hour - Adolescent

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In this role you will be

* Exemplifying the IRMC mission, vision, and values, acting in accordance with

IRMC policies and procedures to ensure quality care is provided.

* Identifying each patient’s age-specific needs and providing appropriate care

as assigned

* Providing direct patient care including monitoring their conditions, taking

vital signs, observing, recording, and reporting behaviors under the

supervision of nursing.

* Leading patients in therapeutic and recreational activities.

* Assist with teaching life skills.

* Complete patient documentation.

* Help to provide a safe and secure unit environment for all patients and staff

in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

* Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively

communicate with patients, family, and report any concerning events to

members of the organization.

* Will be required to float to all units, including geri-psych, adult, and

adolescent.

* Identifying each patient’s age-specific needs and providing appropriate care

as assigned

* Responsible for patient transports to and from hospital departments

(including the medical center) and for delivery of supplies to departments as

necessary

Qualifications

* EDUCATION

* A high school graduate or equivalent.

* EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum of 1 year in behavioral health preferred.

* Previous work experience in health care preferred.

* Psychiatric work experience preferred.

* LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

* Valid PA driver’s license with no previous violation

* BLS required or attained within 1 month of hire

Shifts:  Rotating Days/Nights
