A Space for Us Counseling, Inc. is a growing integrated wellness center dedicated to providing inclusive, compassionate, and whole-person mental health care.

Position Overview
A Space for Us Counseling is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and independently licensed New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our clinical team.
The ideal candidate is committed to culturally responsive and trauma-informed care and is interested in treating individuals, couples, and families. Candidates with experience in couples counseling, family therapy, trauma treatment, somatic approaches, mindfulness, attachment, or nervous-system regulation are strongly encouraged to apply.
The LPC will provide comprehensive behavioral health services while collaborating with other clinicians and wellness professionals within the integrated center.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide individual, couples, and family therapy.
Complete assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Use evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive interventions.
Support clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, grief, and life transitions.
Conduct risk assessments and safety planning when needed.
Coordinate care and provide referrals when appropriate.
Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and timely documentation.
Participate in consultation, team meetings, and professional development
Required Qualifications
Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling or another qualifying behavioral health discipline.
Active, unrestricted New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in good standing.
Ability to practice professional counseling independently in New Jersey.
Clinical experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, or families.
Knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and clinical documentation.
Understanding of trauma-informed and culturally responsive care.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
Commitment to inclusive and identity-affirming mental health services.
Ability to maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.
Current professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain coverage before starting.
Ability to successfully complete all required employment screenings and credentialing requirements.
Please note: This position requires an active New Jersey LPC license. LAC applicants are not eligible for this independently licensed position.

Requirements
