Job Description
Description. This on-site, contract position provides a unique opportunity to support our dedicated medical team in delivering high-quality emergency care to our patients.
As a Locum NP or PA, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients in an emergency setting. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes, and you'll be instrumental in collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless patient experience. Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement treatment plans for various medical conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Conduct necessary diagnostic tests and interpret results
- Provide high-quality patient care in a timely manner
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate records
- Educate patients and families on treatment options and care plans
- Stay current with best practices in emergency medicine
Requirements
- Valid NP or PA certification and licensure
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- 1-3 years of experience in emergency medicine preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
Schedule: 9a-9p and 3p-1a
No call required
Daily Volume: 80 patients, ~3.5% admissions
10 beds, 1 trauma bay
Required Procedures: Laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage, etc.
Support Staff: Physicians, RNs, and an imaging tech
Must be board-certified
ACLS and BLS required
Paid travel and expenses
