Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician's Assistant) Hospitalist;Internal Medicine

. This on-site, contract position is based in Black River Falls and offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality healthcare in a supportive environment.

As a Locum NP or PA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care within our hospital setting. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving the health outcomes of our patients while you work alongside a team of experienced medical professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results accurately
• Provide patient education and counseling to promote wellness
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Assist in coordinating inpatient care and discharge planning
• Stay informed on best practices and advances in internal medicine

Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• Associate degree in a relevant field (Bachelor's preferred)
• Experience in internal medicine or a related specialty preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Professional demeanor and strong ethical standards
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Schedule: 7p-7a, sporadic shifts

Nightly Census: 10-15 patients, 1-2 admits, and floor calls

No procedures or ICU cases

Support Staff: Nocturnist MD

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified
