Key Responsibilities

The Physician Program Director focuses on establishing formal Impella programs by developing sustainable relationships with account stakeholders and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in hemodynamic support. This role involves collaborating with hospitals to implement best practices, develop protocols, and improve workflows to ensure long-term program sustainability.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and significant sales experience, either within Abiomed or in a related industry, along with proven experience managing KOLs and collaborating with hospital C-Suite administrators or IDN leaders. Extensive travel (up to 70%) is required, and a strong understanding of US healthcare policy and reimbursement systems is necessary.
