Job Description
Description. This is an on-site, contract position offering a unique opportunity to provide high-quality women’s health care within a dynamic and supportive clinical environment.
As a Locum Ob/Gyn, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services to patients, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, surgical procedures, and reproductive health consultations. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient safety, comfort, and clinical excellence..
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum management
- Perform gynecological examinations, diagnostic procedures, and minimally invasive surgeries
- Manage labor and delivery, including emergency obstetric interventions when required
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on clinical assessments
- Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care
- Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies
- Stay current with advances in obstetrics and gynecology through continuous learning
- Adhere to medical practice policies, ethical guidelines, and patient confidentiality standards
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification or active candidacy in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Valid medical license to practice in Lebanon or eligibility for licensure
- Associate-level clinical experience in Ob/Gyn, including hospital or clinic settings
- Proficiency in managing high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies
- Strong surgical skills in gynecologic procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and healthcare teams
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions under pressure
- Flexibility to work on-site and adapt to varying patient volumes and schedules
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based patient care
24-hour call coverage
Annual Volume: 300 deliveries
Case Types: Full-scope obstetrics with minimal emergency gynecology
Must be board-certified
