Position Summary The Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and integrated behavioral healthcare within our outpatient setting. Working alongside physicians, counselors, behavioral health clinicians, and substance use disorder professionals, you'll help patients navigate their recovery through compassionate, trauma-informed, evidence-based care. This position offers the opportunity to care for individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders while making a lasting impact on both patients and the community. What You'll Do As a Psychiatric ARNP, you will: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for new and established patients. Perform medication assessments, medication management, and crisis intervention. Develop individualized treatment and service plans based on patient assessments. Provide therapeutic interventions and ongoing psychiatric care. Prescribe psychotropic medications in accordance with Washington State and federal regulations. Interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing, including EKGs, renal function testing, and medication serum levels. Collaborate closely with Mental Health Counselors, SUD Professionals, Primary Care Providers, and consulting Psychiatrists to coordinate patient-centered treatment plans. Educate patients, families, caregivers, and staff regarding psychiatric conditions and medications. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant electronic medical documentation. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary team meetings. Assist in developing evidence-based clinical protocols and best practices.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in good standing with the State of Washington. Current Washington Registered Nurse (RN) license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Strong knowledge of: Psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacology Substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches Behavioral health assessment and therapeutic interventions Medical conditions affecting psychiatric care Working knowledge of: HIPAA 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality requirements Washington State RCWs and WACs Excellent communication, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills. Commitment to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and trauma-informed care. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations while recognizing the impacts of historical trauma, culture, family systems, and community experiences on wellness and recovery. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment. Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard office software.

Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in

Substance Use Disorder Treatment Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Outpatient Behavioral Health Primary Care Experience working within integrated care or Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). License Requirements Current Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license. Current Washington State Registered Nurse license. Valid Washington State Driver's License. Must be insurable under the organization's vehicle insurance policy. Physical Requirements This position is primarily performed in a clinical office environment and requires frequent computer use, documentation, patient interaction, and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or moving materials. Employees must possess sufficient visual acuity and manual dexterity to utilize electronic medical records and standard office equipment while sitting for extended periods.

Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management within an outpatient behavioral health setting. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.

Requirements

Must be a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) and Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Washington with current BLS certification. Requires strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and the ability to work with diverse populations in a trauma-informed manner.
