Key Responsibilities

The Behavioral Health UM Reviewer conducts medical necessity reviews for inpatient and outpatient services using clinical knowledge and management guidelines. They coordinate care opportunities and ensure treatment is delivered in the least restrictive and most appropriate manner.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Master Degree in Social Work with at least 2 years of independent clinical practice experience. Active professional licensure in DC is required, with the ability to obtain additional state licenses within 12 months.
