Key Responsibilities

The behavioral health liaison extern provides psychiatric assessments and develops treatment plans for patients in a medical setting under the supervision of a licensed professional. They also complete clinical documentation and participate in regular consultations with psychiatrists and supervisors.

Requirements

Candidates must be in progress of or have recently earned a master’s degree in social work, counseling, educational psychology, or an allied health profession. Completion of a graduate-level clinical field placement in mental health or substance use is required.
