Licensed Mental Health Therapist/Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) /

We are seeking a compassionate, dynamic, and specialized Florida Licensed Mental Health Therapist with Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) credentials to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder treatment to diverse populations, including adolescents, adults, and seniors.

Qualifications

Active Florida Credentials:

Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) designation OR Master's level MCAP (Master Certified Addiction Professional).

Active Florida License (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) or Registered Intern status strongly preferred.

Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services field from a CACREP-accredited or equivalent program.

• Insurance & Credentials: Proof of professional liability insurance and active credentials.
• EHR Proficiency: Proficiency with TherapyNotes or similar Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms.
• Screening: Must successfully pass a Cleared to Care Background Check.
• Skills: Strong clinical judgment, crisis management skills, and exceptional interpersonal communication.

Core Responsibilities

Assessment & Treatment: Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, bio-psychosocial evaluations, and substance use screenings (e. g., ASAM criteria) to develop individualized treatment plans.

Therapeutic Services: Provide evidence-based individual, couples, family, or group therapy sessions tailored to co-occurring disorders, addiction recovery, and trauma.

Client Engagement: Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours and maintain a flexible, client-accessible schedule.

Documentation & Billing: Maintain timely, HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation, progress notes, and accurate billing submission in TherapyNotes.

Administrative: Submit monthly work hours by the specified deadline and maintain a minimum caseload of 12 client sessions per week.

Teamwork & Community: Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and professional training while actively promoting Healing Wounds Healthcare within the community.

Continuing Education: Maintain ongoing education in evidence-based substance use treatments, trauma-informed care, MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) workflows, and crisis intervention.
