This role involves applying pharmaceutical knowledge to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective care, including reviewing medication orders for interactions and appropriateness, and ensuring accurate dispensing. Responsibilities also include overseeing medication preparation, providing patient counseling, and supervising support personnel.
Candidates must possess a minimum Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree and hold a current license to practice pharmacy in the state of practice, including dispensing controlled substances. Effective communication, people management, project management skills, and current knowledge of state and federal regulations are also required.
