Key Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner performs patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatments while managing daily rounds and coordinating care with the medical team. They are also responsible for writing orders, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing post-discharge instructions to patients.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a Nurse Practitioner program and possess current New York State licensure as both a Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Professional Nurse. Additionally, national board certification in the specialty area and current BLS certification are required.
