Practice
Located in beautiful Maryville TN, Fairview Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary practice that provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to our community and the surrounding area.
In addition to routine wellness care for small animals, we also offer many advanced services such as digital radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, and more.
Position Purpose
Come extern with us! Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.
- Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
- Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

- Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
- Must be able to provide student PLIT
Key Responsibilities
Gain hands-on experience and mentorship in a full-service veterinary practice to become practice-ready. Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for small animals.
Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School. Must be able to provide student Professional Liability Insurance (PLIT).
