Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide coverage in CT Surgery department managing 10-15 CVICU/step down patients per day
- Assist in 1-2 cardiothoracic surgeries per day
- Perform special procedures including temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and Aline placement
- Take call from 3p – 7a on coverage days
- Utilize proficiency with EVH (endoscopic vein harvesting) during surgical cases
Key Responsibilities
Manage 10-15 CVICU and step-down patients daily while providing clinical coverage and on-call support. Assist surgeons in 1-2 cardiothoracic procedures per day and perform specialized bedside procedures.
Requirements
Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery with proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting. Must hold an active Arizona license, NCCPA certification, and current BLS/ACLS credentials.
