Requirements

Candidates must possess a Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association and be a Licensed Respiratory Therapist by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Advanced Cardiac Life Support is required for Adult Acute Care Facilities, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support is required for Pediatric Facilities within six months of hire.
