This on-site contract position provides a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic medical environment, contributing to patient care and the well-being of our community.
As a Hospitalist, you will play a pivotal role in managing patient care in the hospital setting. Your responsibilities will include overseeing patient diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, ensuring that each patient receives the highest level of care. This role is crucial for improving patient outcomes and enhancing the quality of care provided within our facility.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate patient care in a hospital setting
- Perform thorough patient assessments and establish treatment plans
- Provide ongoing patient management and follow-up care
- Collaborate with nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams
- Document and maintain accurate patient records
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Stay informed about the latest medical practices and technologies
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the State of Washington
- Experience as a hospitalist or in a similar medical setting preferred
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of patient care protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
- Commitment to continued professional development
Schedule: 10- or 12-hour shifts
336 beds
Variable patient volumes
Day Rounder: 14-17 patients
Day Hybrid: 8 patients and 4-6 admissions
Swing: 6-8 admissions
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
ACLS, BLS, and DEA required
Paid travel and expenses
