Position Summary

Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Allergist & Immunologist Physician to join our growing medical team in Tampa, Florida.

This full-time outpatient position provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of patients with allergic and immunologic conditions. The physician will work collaboratively with primary care providers, specialists, Advanced Practice Providers, pharmacists, clinical support staff, and other members of TFHC’s multidisciplinary care team.

The role provides an opportunity to develop meaningful continuity with patients while practicing within an integrated healthcare organization committed to improving access, outcomes, and quality of life.

The position emphasizes evidence-based care, patient education, disease prevention, continuity of care, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with allergic, immunologic, and related conditions in an outpatient clinical setting
  • Perform and interpret appropriate allergy and immunology diagnostic testing
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based clinical guidelines and best practices
  • Provide ongoing disease monitoring and medication management
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, trigger avoidance, and long-term disease management
  • Provide allergen immunotherapy and other specialized treatments as clinically indicated and within approved privileges
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, Advanced Practice Providers, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Coordinate referrals and continuity of care across TFHC and outside specialty services when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation within the electronic health record
  • Complete patient-related clinical tasks, prior authorizations, and care coordination activities in a timely manner
  • Participate in quality improvement, population health, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Support organizational efforts to improve patient access, clinical outcomes, and quality measures
  • Provide clinical supervision, education, mentorship, and precepting to residents, medical students, APPs, and other healthcare professionals as applicable
  • Deliver high-quality healthcare consistent with applicable HRSA, HEDIS, UDS, regulatory, and organizational standards

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Allergy & Immunology Fellowship
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Allergy & Immunology
  • If Board Eligible, ability to obtain Board Certification within two years of employment
  • Active or eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license
  • Active DEA license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare environment
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems; experience with Epic is a plus
