ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist (OD) to
deliver high-quality vision care across multiple New Mexico communities. This is
a clinic-based role where you’ll function as an extension of established
outpatient teams serving senior populations.
If you’re looking for meaningful, mission-driven work with schedule consistency
— without the overhead of running your own practice — this opportunity offers
flexibility, autonomy, and full administrative support.
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS
This is a traveling optometrist role. Candidates must be comfortable driving up
to 4 hours to assigned clinic locations, which may include some or all of the
following regions:
* Albuquerque
* Santa Fe
* Farmington
* Gallup
* Taos
* Las Cruces

Mileage reimbursement is provided.
THE SETTING
This opportunity operates within a community-based outpatient clinic model
* Full-time clinic staff on-site
* Organized scheduling and patient flow
* Coordinated, team-based care environment
* Value-based model focused on seniors
CMC manages equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing — allowing you to focus
entirely on delivering high-quality vision care.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

* Prescribe corrective lenses and provide treatment recommendations
* Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team
* Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
This is not a high-volume retail model.
Our optometrists are integrated into established clinic environments and
represent CMC directly within each partner location. We emphasize:
* Quality over volume
* Consistency and predictability
* Administrative and logistical support
* Long-term clinic partnerships
* Ethical, mission-driven healthcare delivery
QUALIFICATIONS
* Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
* Active New Mexico optometry license
* Experience with senior populations preferred
* Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
* Comfortable practicing in outpatient clinic environments
* Willingness to travel up to 4 hours to assigned clinics
SCHEDULE
* 2–6 weekdays per month (Wednesday–Friday)
* Typical hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
* No nights
* No weekends
* No billing or administrative responsibilities
