Candidates must hold an M.D. or D.O. degree with board certification in Clinical Pathology, Hematology, or Pediatric Hematology, plus Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine. At least one year of clinical experience in transfusion and apheresis medicine is required, along with the ability to obtain medical licenses in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York.
