Key Responsibilities

The Shelter Veterinarian performs diagnostic assessments, surgical procedures, and standard medical care for animals within the PAWS shelter. They also oversee daily clinical functions, supervise staff and students, and ensure adherence to herd health and adoptability policies.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and a valid Washington State license to practice. At least one year of full-time veterinary experience with dogs and cats, preferably in a shelter setting, is required.
