Key Responsibilities

The role involves working within the Integrated Housing Adaptation Team (IHAT) to assist service users who have difficulty accessing facilities in or around their homes. Responsibilities include producing high-standard written assessments and applying relevant legislation, such as the Disabled Facilities Grant process.

Requirements

Candidates must be a qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the HCPC as a practising therapist, with experience recommending home adaptations to promote client independence. Essential skills include excellent communication, sensitivity when dealing with service users and families, and the ability to manage customer expectations effectively.
