Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, and other cardiopulmonary diseases
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol medications
• Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, medication use, and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress notes
• Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment

Skills and Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field
• Valid state licensure or certification as a Respiratory Therapist (e. g., RRT credential)
• Proven experience in a clinical respiratory therapy setting
• Strong knowledge of respiratory care procedures, equipment, and protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in emergency situations
