Advanced Practice Provider - Surgical Nocturnist

Who We Are Looking For

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a Surgical Nocturnist at our Franciscan Health Indianapolis location.

What We Need

General and/or orthopedic surgery experience is preferred. Candidate will have a focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Provider will need to work collaboratively with physicians to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

What You Can Expect

Shift hours: 7:00 p. m. – 7:00 a. m.; rotating 7 on 14 off schedule, 0.7 FTE

Surgical coverage for the following service lines

• General Surgery including Bariatric and Level III Trauma
• Orthopedic Surgery

Responsibilities include

• Emergency Room and inpatient consults
• Transfer Center calls from outside hospitals
• Answering floor calls and outside patient calls via answering service
• Surgical first assist in after-hours urgent surgeries
• Occasional rounding during shift
• Opportunity to work additional day shifts in General Surgery
• Strong group of 10 other experienced APPs. Collaborative surgeons with extensive knowledge and mentorship

Qualifications

• Master's Degree - Required
• Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) – Required
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required
