Job Description

At Vancouver Clinic, caring for people is our first priority and the driving
force behind everything we do. New clinicians will find a collegial, supportive,
and caring environment of healthcare professionals committed to our patients and
community. Our multispecialty clinic is physician owned, which prioritizes the
highest quality patient care and a strong work-life balance.

We are seeking a per diem, hospital-based Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join
our dynamic and growing team. Our department includes 15 midwives dedicated to
providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse community within the
hospital setting, with a strong emphasis on midwifery-led care and continuity
for our patients. Vancouver Clinic CNMs serve as primary providers for low- to
moderate-risk patients while collaborating closely with physician colleagues
when higher-acuity care is needed within a collaborative, multidisciplinary
group of 20 OB/GYN physicians, 3 Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, and 6
Advanced Practice Clinicians, all committed to delivering comprehensive and
personalized care.

Our midwives deliver at both local hospitals - PeaceHealth Southwest Medical
Center and Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, where they provide full-scope
inpatient care. Responsibilities include supporting physiologic birth, attending
water births, managing VBACs, and participating in cesarean sections for
midwifery patients as part of an integrated care team.  This role does not have
an outpatient clinical component.

* A minimum one year of clinical experience including inpatient care as a
midwife is required

* This is a per-diem/as needed position with no guaranteed minimum number of
shifts, hours, or compensation.

* Availability to work at least 1 shift/month preferred (with more shifts
typically available)

* Schedule includes 12- and 24-hour shifts

* $900 per 12-hour shift

* Opportunity to move into full- or part-time position, if desired

* Broad scope of practice due to our strong relationship with MFM

* Compensation information is provided based on available data at the time of
posting and is subject to change.

We are rooted in Southwest Washington, located in the beautiful Pacific
Northwest. The area offers a variety of housing options from suburban
neighborhoods, downtown high rises, or rural locations with acreage. We enjoy
year-round recreational opportunities, a flourishing craft brewery scene,
wineries, and tasty restaurants. Portland, Oregon, is nearby offering
world-class food, a vibrant art and theater scene, and numerous professional
sports teams. Plus, if you live and work in Washington, there is no state income
tax.

We recognize that each person’s unique experience, identity, and perspective
advances our ability to deliver the best possible care to our patients. We
encourage candidates of every background to apply to join our team.

Please submit a CV and cover letter detailing your interest in our organization
and position.
