Key Responsibilities
The Genetic Counselor will provide independent genetic counseling, assess patient risk, and educate families and physicians on genetic conditions. They are responsible for coordinating genetic testing, interpreting results, and providing comprehensive post-test support and documentation.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from an ACGC-accredited program and obtain ABGC certification within 12 months. A state of Idaho license is required, and at least one year of experience in genetic counseling is preferred.
