Job Description
IMA Clinical Research is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Albuquerque, NM research team as a Sub-Investigator. This is an opportunity to use your clinical expertise to support innovative clinical trials, evaluate study participants, and help advance new treatments and therapies.
This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a Sub-Investigator on clinical research studies
- Evaluate participants and determine trial eligibility
- Conduct physical exams and study-related clinical assessments
- Maintain accurate and timely study documentation
- Ensure adherence to protocols, Sponsor requirements, and internal SOPs
- Collaborate with Principal Investigators, Sponsors, Study Monitors, and site teams
- Complete required study training and attend investigator meetings as needed
What You’ll Bring
Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license; New Mexico license or eligibility for licensure required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical and/or research experience
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Clinical research experience preferred; experienced clinicians interested in transitioning into research are encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities
The Sub-Investigator will evaluate clinical trial participants, conduct physical exams, and perform study-related clinical assessments. They are responsible for maintaining accurate study documentation and ensuring strict adherence to research protocols and internal SOPs.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in New Mexico or be eligible for licensure. A minimum of 2 years of clinical or research experience is required, with a preference for those with prior clinical research background.
