The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide medication management for adult patients with diverse mental health conditions. Key duties also involve collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, offering psychoeducation, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Required criteria include a Master’s Degree in Nursing, current NYS Registered Nurse license, current NYS Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP), ANCC Board Certification, and BLS certification. Preferred criteria include a minimum of 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience, DEA registration in New York, and strong knowledge of psychopharmacology.
