Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Hospitalist

As a Hospitalist, you will be essential in managing patient care from admission through discharge, ensuring the best possible outcomes.

In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive medical services. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a diverse patient population, coordinating with specialists, and maintaining detailed medical records. This position is ideal for an Associate-level physician looking to make a significant impact in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients from admission to discharge.
• Perform thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to determine patient conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage medications and therapies.
• Coordinate care with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and medical regulations.

Requirements

• MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of York.
• Associate level experience in a hospitalist or inpatient setting.
• Excellent clinical skills and diagnostic abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts, specific dates

Daily Volume: 8-11 patients

No procedures required

Support Staff: Full subspecialty support

EMR: Paragon

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
