About the Opportunity
A premier multidisciplinary outpatient clinic in Cranston, RI is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join their interventional pain management team. This position focuses on providing high-quality, evidence-based care for patients suffering from chronic pain, musculoskeletal disorders, and spinal conditions. You will work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes non-opioid therapies and interventional procedures to improve patient quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient evaluations and focused physical examinations.
- Formulate treatment plans for chronic pain, neuropathies, and osteoarthritis.
- Perform clinical procedures including trigger point and peripheral joint injections.
- Manage medication through responsible stewardship and regular monitoring.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results to guide interventions.
- Provide patient education regarding lifestyle changes and interventional treatments.
- Coordinate care with a team of physicians and physical therapists.
- Ensure timely and accurate EHR documentation.
Candidate Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
- Current Rhode Island APRN license or eligibility for licensure.
- Board certification as an FNP or AGNP via AANP or ANCC.
At least 1 year of clinical experience in Pain Management. Experience in orthopedics or physical medicine and rehabilitation is highly valued.
- Active DEA and Rhode Island Controlled Substance Registration.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Availability for travel as required by the clinical team.
Salary and Perks
- Competitive base salary between $140,000 and $160,000.
- Partial benefits package.
