Job Description
New Hiring: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
Life Enhancement Services (LES) is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join growing behavioral health team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care while making a meaningful impact in the lives of children, adolescents, and adults.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat a variety of mental health conditions
- Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychiatric medications
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment option
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in Washington, DC
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred
Key Responsibilities
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnose various mental health conditions for children, adolescents, and adults. They are also responsible for prescribing and managing psychiatric medications while providing patient education on treatment options.
