Job description
- Performs comprehensive occupational therapy treatment and related follow-up services including discharge planning.
- Trains and educates patients, family members and/or others to ensure understanding of treatment plan and goals.
- Provides occupational therapy, including selection and use of adaptive equipment.
- Reports patient progress and collaborates with evaluating therapist to implement the therapy plan of care.
Key Responsibilities
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides patient treatment, implements care plans, and educates patients and families. They also perform documentation, quality improvement tasks, and supervise rehab technicians.
