Key Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates, plans, directs, and administers therapy programs to restore function and help patients reach maximum independence, assessing conditions based on physician diagnosis. They evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across all age groups, developing and updating appropriate plans of care in collaboration with the patient/family.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications require a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology, the ability to organize multiple tasks, identify patient-specific rehabilitation learning needs, and travel for home care assignments. Candidates must possess American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification and a Pennsylvania State SLP License upon hire.
