The Opportunity

  • Seeking Hospitalist physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
  • Current national certification, DEA, and ACLS required.
  • Previous hospitalist experience is preferred.
  • Current IN state license is a plus.

The Practice

  • St. Joseph Regional Medical Center – Mishawaka, Indiana
  • A 254-bed acute care hospital that’s part of Saint Joseph Health System.
  • Level II Trauma Center with 35 closed-ICU beds
  • The first hospital in the region with a Primary Stroke Unit certified by the Joint Commission.
  • 150 total daily patient encounters.
  • Epic EMR.
  • Recipient of the Coronary Intervention Excellence Award™ (2023) and the Pulmonary Care Excellence Award™ (2023).

Key Responsibilities

The Advanced Provider will serve as a member of the hospital medicine team, providing high-quality care to patients in an acute care setting. Responsibilities include managing patient encounters, collaborating with the multidisciplinary care team, and contributing to the hospital's mission of improving patient outcomes.

Requirements

Candidates must hold current national certification, DEA registration, and ACLS certification. Previous hospitalist experience is preferred, and a current Indiana state license is considered a plus.
