Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist – Inpatient
Brook Lane Hospital | Hagerstown, MD
$335,000 Salary + $250,000 Sign-On Bonus + Up to $50,000 Relocation

Practice Details
- 38-bed Child & Adolescent Inpatient Program (average census ~32)
- Units serving ages 8–17
- Average length of stay: 8–10 days
- Common diagnoses: ADHD, depressive disorders, trauma, autism spectrum disorders, ODD, adolescent substance use
- Admissions primarily from regional emergency departments
Team-Based Care
Work alongside a strong multidisciplinary behavioral health team, including:
- Nurses & Mental Health Associates
- Social Workers & Counselors
- Psychologists
- Discharge Planning Team
- Medical Consult Services
All staff are trained in CPI de-escalation and safety protocols, with security support and systems designed to maintain a safe care environment.
Call Schedule
- 1 night per week
- 1 in 6 weekends
- Daytime on-call coverage for ED referral screenings and urgent inpatient needs

Responsibilities also include teaching opportunities for residents, medical students, and other trainees, alongside participating in a rotating call schedule.
Requirements
The role requires a Psychiatrist specializing in Child and Adolescent care for 100% inpatient duties, working a 7 on / 7 off schedule with 10-hour days. Candidates must be prepared for one night of call per week and one in six weekends, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team.
