Key Responsibilities

The role involves providing clinical review and consultation for medication requests, prior authorizations, and benefit determinations, while evaluating therapy appropriateness, dosing, and safety based on evidence-based guidelines. Responsibilities also include collaborating with providers, supporting complex case reviews and appeals, and identifying opportunities to improve medication adherence, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

Candidates must possess an active Pharmacist license (PharmD or BS Pharmacy) and have 3 to 5 years of experience in clinical or managed care pharmacy. Essential qualifications include a strong understanding of formulary management, clinical guidelines, pharmacy benefit structures, and excellent analytical and consultative communication skills.
