Compassionate ABA & Therapeutic Services LLC is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dependable Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing interdisciplinary pediatric clinic in Springfield, Virginia.
We understand that SLPs want more than a full schedule. They want a manageable caseload, clinical autonomy, adequate time for documentation, access to appropriate materials, reliable administrative support, and the opportunity to collaborate with professionals who respect their expertise.
At CABATS, you will have the flexibility of contract work while being supported by an established clinic serving children and young adults with autism, developmental disabilities, and communication needs.

- The ability to help shape and grow the Speech Therapy program

- No required travel between client homes—services are clinic-based

Position Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
- Develop individualized, functional, and measurable treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to pediatric clients.
Address receptive language, expressive language, articulation, social communication, fluency, AAC, and other areas within the SLP’s competence.
Complete evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and reauthorization documentation within required timeframes.
- Provide caregiver education, training, and home recommendations.
- Collaborate with ABA, Occupational Therapy, school, medical, and other providers when authorized and clinically appropriate.
- Participate in care coordination and interdisciplinary treatment planning.
- Monitor progress and revise treatment recommendations based on clinical data.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with HIPAA, payer, state, and ASHA requirements.
- Communicate scheduling, clinical, and documentation concerns promptly.
- Contribute ideas that support the continued development of CABATS’ Speech Therapy program.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current professional liability insurance
NPI Number and Eligibility for Insurance Credentialing
- Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, AAC needs, or complex communication profiles preferred
- Strong evaluation, documentation, time-management, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
- Commitment to compassionate, ethical, neurodiversity-affirming, and family-centered care
Schedule
Flexible weekday and Saturday opportunities are available. Afternoon and early-evening availability is especially valuable due to the needs of our school-aged clients. The final schedule and caseload will be mutually agreed upon.
